PHOTOS: Tornadoes Struck Illinois

The Midwest suffered devastating thunderstorms and tornadoes on Sunday that affected Illinois directly with a death toll of six people, as well as families loosing homes in their entirety. The following counties were declared disaster areas by Governor Pat Quinn: Champaign, Grundy, LaSalle, Massac, Tazewell, Washington and Woodford.

There was a delay in the Chicago Bears due to the severe weather and fans were evacuated from the stands. Once the warning was cleared for Soldier Field, the game took place with fans present under the rain. The Bears beat the Baltimore Ravens 23-20.

For those interested in helping the victims of these natural disasters, The Salvation Army is handling monetary contributions that can be sent online and via text.
