A Tulane Athletics Department official says construction of the university's new on-campus football stadium is on schedule and is expected to be ready for the Green Wave's first home game against Georgia Tech on Sept. 6.

"The field needs to be laid, but that's here. It's sitting in the parking lot," says Executive Associate Athletics Director Brandon Macneill. "The video boards are all done and operational. The lights are all done and operational."

Macneill says the new stadium has impacted ticket sales "dramatically".

"Our donors have stepped up, our fans have stepped up, and what's been really great is the New Orleans community is buying tickets," Macneill said.

Season tickets have been on sale since April 1 while single-game tickets will go on sale in mid-August.
